Dix is hosting a Monday night bluegrass jam at Red House in Walnut Creek, CA, 4/28—5/19 at Redhouse in Walnut Creek. Get ready for those summer jam sessions! The Red House Bluegrass Jam is a fun weekly jam session for bluegrass and old time musicians. This instructionally-oriented jam is led and facilitated by Dix Bruce, well-known Bay Area musician and writer. Dix will provide a few songs as hand-out to get things rolling, then we'll just jam! A portion of each session will be dedicated to participant questions about jamming, including tips on presenting songs to a jam group, picking keys for male and female voices, transposing songs and working as a group.
